We founded White Bicycle Ltd in 2019, after spotting a gap in the market…

We didn’t want to be just one more company selling generic e-learning, teaching bored office staff how to pick up heavy boxes. We wanted to get to know our clients and to work closely with them to design engaging and memorable courses that really met their needs.

As a brother and sister team, we’ve found that our dynamic goes down really well with clients. A bit geeky, a bit goofy, but always reliable and willing to go the extra mile. We also share a genetic eye condition, so accessibility isn’t just a nice-to-have or a tickbox exercise for us - it’s a personal mission.

We love what we do - and we hope you will too!

Hello! I’ll be your first point of contact for new projects, as I’m in charge of scoping and scheduling and generally keeping everything on track. I’m available to support you over the course of a project, providing updates and helpful info and answering any questions you might have.

I love coming up with ideas to keep learners engaged - and when animation is a good fit, it’s usually me that gets those little cartoon characters moving…

As a stickler for detail (and a former Countdown contestant!), I’m happiest when I’m correcting typos with a cup of tea in hand.

From editing textbooks in Berlin to hosting MOOCs in Canberra, I’ve been working in learning design for 14 years and counting... In 2022 I was delighted to be named as one of the Top 10 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch (Telegraph/NatWest).

I’m passionate about lifelong learning, always have at least 3 books on the go, and love all kinds of puzzles and escape rooms.

I started out as a freelance e-learning designer in 2018 and learned the ropes working with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Central Law Training, Springer Nature Publishing and other clients. It felt like a bit of a trial by fire at the time, but it gave me a solid grounding in the fundamentals of e-learning.

I had the opportunity to film a series of videos at Durham University for a mental health project, and after that I was hooked. There’s something incredibly satisfying about playing around with lighting until you get the perfect shot or adjusting the audio until it’s crystal clear. It’s also a lot of fun to work with the people starring in the video – whether giving feedback to professional actors or helping camera-shy people feel at ease!

Now my role includes:

  • Building courses in Articulate Rise, Moodle, Blackboard, LearnWorlds etc.

  • Creating interactive elements in H5P, Padlet etc.

  • Creating or editing images using Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop (occasionally in Paint 😁)

  • Capturing video

  • Video editing using Premiere Pro (I’m also comfortable with DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro)

  • Audio mixing
